Ghagra Skirt

Measurements:

  2. Thanks for appreciation. I use MSPAINT to make pattern drawings and for adding text I use Picasa. Then, I have one more software named Batch Water Mark for adding text on pattern.
This is basic pattern of Ghagra skirt.
I made this skirt with 12 pcs.
so, if you want to make this type of skirt , take the measurement -
waist divided by how many pcs you need
    for example,take 1/12 waist.
    refer method 2, (2-3) = 1/12 waist
    (1-4) = (0-2)*2 + 4"(more flare)
    (0-2) = {(1-4) - (2-3)} / 2
    [i.e., (2-3) = 3"
    (1-4) = 3"*2= 6" + 4" = 10"
    (0-2) = 10" - 3" = 7"/2= 3.5" ]

  7. Thank you for the directions. I'm new to sewing and am trying to create ghagra skirts for a dance that I am choreographing. Once the fabric is cut, how do you sew them together? Is there a specific technique that should be used?
